Following our appearance at the Festive Gift Fair in November, we are delighted to have been shortlisted for Gift of the Year Awards 2026 in the Food & Drink category! (For both our Sunshine and BBQ Boxes).
Being shortlisted for the Gift of the Year Awards means a product is recognised by industry experts as one of the most innovative, unique, and commercially viable items in the UK giftware industry. Selected from over 900+ entries by 120+ judges, it signifies a major achievement that offers heightened brand visibility and credibility.
Live, in-person judging will take place at the Spring Fair, and although we wont have a stand at this event, we are excited about the further awareness it will bring, of our unique, Caribbean-inspired, Chef Crafted, range of products.
Festive Gift Fair 2025
We had a fantastic time at the Festive Gift Fair at Birmingham NEC last November, and if we met you there (and maybe bought our products), then we’d like to say a massive “thank you!“
We met lots of people, made many great connections over the four-day long weekend. It was a great opportunity to fully launch our new brand, website, and full new product range.
There was amazing feedback on the presentation of our Sunshine and BBQ Boxes, from the organisers of the Gift of the Year Awards 2026, an event that started back in 2020.
Among other ideas, they suggested that outdoor events such as Flower Shows could be a good avenue for promoting our product range.
We also had interesting conversations with a major retailer, and someone who saw more opportunities for Barrington with video.
So, lot’s of great “food for thought” and we look forward of being back to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Festive Gift Fair in 2026!
SoulFest 2025
We were honoured to be invited to “bring the very best Caribbean food” to this year’s SoulFest event at ‘The Boathouse’ in Irlam, Manchester in early August.
The weather was wonderful, which can’t always be said in Manchester, and a fantastic day was had by all.
Not only was it a day of back-to-back music and family fun, but money was raised for a charity run by Claire Worsnip, which does an amazing job in a school in Uganda.
